The Heart of Politics

With the upcoming election we are confronted with a real choice…  A choice that none of us can ignore…  A choice that none of us can afford NOT to make.  We are at a major fork in the road and we alone are responsible for the direction we will choose to travel.  Here’s what I see in regard to the two men running for President.

One man holds the best interest of all Americans in his heart.  The other just a select few.

One man chooses to extend a hand and tries to work with all citizens by the use of compromise.  One man believes there is nothing he can do for 47% of the people in this country, so why bother to compromise.

One man believes we are part of a global community.  One man believes in American exceptionalism.

One man believes a woman’s body is her business alone.  One man believes a woman is not competent enough to make choices regarding her body by herself and that it is the government’s job to intervene.

One man believes that all people should be afforded the right to marry.  One man believes that love is reserved for a man and a woman and that they alone should have the right to marry..

One man believes in the idea of religious freedom.  One man believes there is only one path to the mountain top…  His.

These and many other reasons have led me to the conclusion that this election will change the course of not only our country but world for decades to come.  Please ask yourself this.  What world will I choose to live in?  It is your choice.  Your vote is a privilege.  It will define who we will become as nation.  Listen to your hearts and exercise that privilege.
